Best Box Covers
I'm sticking with the ones I own.
Wargames can have great covers so many classic art or photos you can use. I prefer the style of oil over others, but a good photo is also intriguing. I'll include one that caught my eye.
5. This Hallowed Ground - This has the other part of the classic painting the Skirmish Line from the Civil War game cover. This Hallowed Ground - box cover
4. Napoleon at bay - The OSG version has a beautiful classic art piece of a hussar on horseback, but the later version from AH would get on my worst cover list. Napoleon at Bay - box cover
3. Winter War - one my favorite S&T covers with a photo of an Finnish infantryman in his winter camouflage in the snow. Winter War - box cover
2. The American Heritage Command Series (Dogfight, Broadside, Battle Cry, Hit the Beach) Totally caught my imagination as a kid when I got them from my dad. Dogfight is the best with a Albatross being shot down by a Spad. Dogfight - box cover
1. Here Come the Rebels from Great Campaigns of the Am. Civil War. All the AH covers for the series used the art of Keith Rocco - similar in style to Don Troiani. HCR is my favorite cover even though it is of the 21st Ohio at Chickamauga and not from the Antietam campaign. Here Come the Rebels - box cover
